Research topic

Radionics

What radionics practitioners do, why it is described as a practitioner method, and what controlled testing exists.

What the evidence is

Radionics has very little controlled research. Radionics usually relies on dowsing responses; in a double-blind trial, practitioners who dowse scored at chance level (McCarney et al., 2002). There is no accepted scientific mechanism for radionics, and no evidence that it prevents or treats any medical condition. We describe it only as a complementary practitioner method.
